Silly Goose
Silly Goose is the main character in this creative story about a goose who wants desperately to fit in with the popular crowd. Unfortunately for Silly Goose, this creates some rather difficult days. It is not until Silly Goose finds his true friend that he learns he should never need to change his outward appearance to be accepted.

Cole Chanthaseny, Barrett Curd, and Jake Johnson are three best friends who were inspired to write a book after playing a game with balloons in their 4th-grade classroom. Once Silly Goose was created, Silly Goose became the “new thing” among their peers. The authors knew they wanted Silly Goose to be known on a larger scale than just with their peers which prompted this idea to write this book and share Silly Goose with the world.
Payton Allen is the illustrator for Silly Goose. As ’Aunt’ to one of the authors, she had the opportunity to illustrate characters created by the young boys and help create new ones along the way. She currently works as a high school teacher at the Van Buren School District She also considers herself a hermit who stays in the woods as often as possible.
